Laundry Specialist/Regional Sales Manager

Mission:
Develop and drive growth, ensuring customer success in OPL & commercial laundry through strategic sales development, strong customer relationships, expert technical support, and comprehensive training, while maintaining Sunburst’s brand standards in alignment with the company’s Guiding Principles.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. GROWTH AND EXPANSION > 50%

  • Develop annual/quarterly/monthly Sales & Service Plans in collaboration with field leadership to successfully achieve individual and team objectives.
  • Utilize Acumatica to update activity, customer information and sales forecasts.
  • Monitor actual sales & service objectives vs. goals. Continuously create and implement change plans to meet goals or sustain above-target performance.
  • Prepare periodic Sales & Service Plan Reviews and present them to your assigned field leader.
  • Conduct end-use customer and distributor consultative sales & service meetings. Focus on problem solving and training on best practices.
  • Develop, prepare & present proposals for new prospects with an emphasis on problem solving

2. FIELD SERVICE & SUPPORT > 35%

  • Install, calibrate, and maintain chemical dispensing systems in commercial & OPL laundry facilities.
  • Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on dispensing equipment.
  • Conduct water and chemical analysis to ensure proper concentration and effectiveness.
  • Train customers in proper usage, safety protocols, and best practices for chemical systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of service visits, equipment status, and chemical usage.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely product deliveries.
  • Stay current with industry standards, safety regulations, and product innovations.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to recommend solutions and promote products.
  • Assist with Major Opportunity Team installations as needed or requested.
  • Assist Sunburst employees in conducting field CIR & CAR investigations and reports.

3. TRAINING > 15%

  • Train and stay current on features, functionality and benefits of all Sunburst programs, chemical products and related dispensing equipment to adequately understand and communicate value to customers.
  • Provide sales & technical training to team members & distributors.
  • Use installations as training opportunities.
  • Document Laundry Standards for new & existing laundry
  • Train Sunburst Team members on how to use and maintain Laundry Standards and maintain the required databases.
  • Review laundry service reports as they are posted, validate Sunburst Brand Standards are being adhered to and provide training as required.

 

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 + years sales & laundry service and account management experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Prior experience that demonstrates proficiency in establishing relationships and growing sales in a new or underdeveloped territory
  • Prior experience demonstrating proficiency in Core Sales Competencies and Core Leadership Competencies
  • Must be able to travel at least 50% of available time for business related activities
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various environments.

Route Service Technician I, Lansing MI

Mission: The Route Service Technician ensures Sunburst dispensers and related products and equipment function according to Sunburst brand standards and customer specifications; Installs dispensers and related products; and, 3) Sells detergents and supplies to meet customer needs and support Sunburst’s retention and growth goals alignment with the company Vision and Guiding Principles.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. SERVICE, INSTALLATION & SUPPORT > 80%
  • Maintain an organized, and updated Route Service schedule necessary to service 100% of assigned customers
  • Provide regularly scheduled maintenance for Sunburst dispensers and related equipment in assigned accounts, all in compliance with established Sunburst Best Practices.
  • Service dispensing and related equipment in assigned accounts in emergencies, including after business hours and on
  • Provide backup support services for all regional accounts on an as-needed basis as directed by the Regional Service
  • Assist in troubleshooting problems not related to Sunburst equipment. Make appropriate recommendations to customers to resolve
  • Train and stay current on features and functionality of all Sunburst dispensing and related equipment, and detergents and supplies sufficient to adequately perform service-related
  • Maintain appropriate service logs and service-related information as required by the Regional Service Supervisor.
  • Communicate significant service-related best practices and challenges to Regional Service
  • Prepare for and facilitate new dispenser installations and dispensing upgrades.
  • Conduct training programs for customers as required and appropriate.
  • Maintain par-level inventory for service vehicles. Provide monthly inventory counts.
  • Process inventory transactions & issue reports to related to job responsibilities.

 

  1. SALES AND DISTRIBUTOR SALES DEVELOPMENT < 20%

  • Train and stay current on features and functionality of all Sunburst programs, dispensing and related equipment, and detergents and supplies sufficient to adequately understand and communicate value to
  • Conduct routine inspections of customer inventories and sell detergents and supplies to assigned accounts, keeping their inventories adequate and keeping a company or distributor’s costs for order processing, handling, and freight to a minimum.
  • Provide counsel to customers for using the best products, systems, and procedures providing them with the greatest overall
  • Conduct distributor sales meetings as required or
  • Provide input for sales presentations with distributors; train them regarding demonstrations and opening and closing
  • Provide product and technical training as
  • Provide sales assistance to Distributor Sales Reps (DSRs).
  • Attend scheduled sales meetings and periodic information meetings as requested.
  • Communicate significant sales-related best practices and challenges to the regional sales team
