Route Service Technician I, Minneapolis

Mission: The Route Service Technician ensures Sunburst dispensers and related products and equipment function according to Sunburst brand standards and customer specifications; Installs dispensers and related products; and, 3) Sells detergents and supplies to meet customer needs and support Sunburst’s retention and growth goals alignment with the company Vision and Guiding Principles.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. SERVICE, INSTALLATION & SUPPORT > 80%
    • Maintain an organized, and updated Route Service schedule necessary to service 100% of assigned customers
    • Provide regularly scheduled maintenance for Sunburst dispensers and related equipment in assigned accounts, all in compliance with established Sunburst Best Practices.
    • Service dispensing and related equipment in assigned accounts in emergencies, including after business hours and on
    • Provide backup support services for all regional accounts on an as-needed basis as directed by the Regional Service
    • Assist in troubleshooting problems not related to Sunburst equipment. Make appropriate recommendations to customers to resolve
    • Train and stay current on features and functionality of all Sunburst dispensing and related equipment, and detergents and supplies sufficient to adequately perform service-related
    • Maintain appropriate service logs and service-related information as required by the Regional Service Supervisor.
    • Communicate significant service-related best practices and challenges to Regional Service
    • Prepare for and facilitate new dispenser installations and dispensing upgrades.
    • Conduct training programs for customers as required and appropriate.
    • Maintain par-level inventory for service vehicles. Provide monthly inventory counts.
    • Process inventory transactions & issue reports to related to job responsibilities.

 

  1. SALES AND DISTRIBUTOR SALES DEVELOPMENT < 20%
  • Develop quarterly sales plans in collaboration with RSS, BDM, and RSMs to achieve short-term and long-term sales goals consistent with Sunburst’s key initiatives and
  • Utilize CRM and prepare monthly sales
  • Prepare quarterly Business Reviews and present them to the Regional Service Supervisor.
  • Train and stay current on features and functionality of all Sunburst programs, dispensing and related equipment, and detergents and supplies sufficient to adequately understand and communicate value to
  • Conduct routine inspections of customer inventories and sell detergents and supplies to assigned accounts, keeping their inventories adequate and keeping a company or distributor’s costs for order processing, handling, and freight to a minimum.
  • Provide counsel to customers for using the best products, systems, and procedures providing them with the greatest overall
  • Conduct distributor sales meetings as required or
  • Provide input for sales presentations with distributors; train them regarding demonstrations and opening and closing
  • Provide product and technical training as
  • Provide sales assistance to Distributor Sales Reps (DSRs).
  • Attend scheduled sales meetings and periodic information meetings as requested.
  • Communicate significant sales-related best practices and challenges to the regional sales team

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma minimum; Technical Degree
  • Full-time, non-exempt.
  • Ability to work in a variety of work
  • Ability to sit, stand, squat, and lift a minimum of 50
  • Past Route Sales experience
  • Must have a clean driving record

Marketing & Field Operations Support Specialist

Mission: Drive brand awareness and growth through the execution of effective marketing strategies, building and maintaining strong brand relationships, and enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty by resolving customer issues promptly and optimizing the customer experience. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

MARKETING 55%

A. ADMINISTRATION

  1. Supporting marketing and customer care department activities in alignment with company strategic initiatives by:
  2. Supporting and promoting campaigns.
    1. Participating and representing Sunburst Chemicals in trade show events.
    2. Managing and distributing incoming leads.
    3. Creating leads and opportunities in Acumatica.
    4. Processing the engineering and technical bulletin changes.
    5. Providing administrative support to the Field Operations team.
  3. Managing database marketing activities including campaigns, sales promotions, national account initiatives, region-specific initiatives, etc.).
  4. Recommending updates and maintaining Sunburst’s website by ensuring organization, content, and layout features support ease of operation and use.
  5. Coordinating the administrative tasks of all trade show activities (national shows and assigned regional shows).
  6. Providing the Field Operations and Inside Sales teams with sales enablement tools and data analysis to inform the creation of sales initiatives, campaigns, and strategies.
  7. Contributing to Sunburst’s marketing creative activities that lead to concrete campaigns, promotions, and marketing and sales enablement tools.
  8. Managing Acumatica leads and opportunities; as well as leads driven by marketing email, website, and phone.
  9. Identifying, nurturing, and directing leads to appropriate parties for advancement to opportunities.
  10. Supporting project management activities as assigned by the Director of Marketing.
  11. Assisting with the planning, coordination, communication, and execution of special events including, but not limited to, company events, management and sales meetings, monthly newsletters, and internal sales promotions and contests.

B. CONTENT AND COLLATERAL SUPPORT:

  1. Managing co-branding and co-marketing requests for literature.
  2. Executing against engineering and technical bulletin changes.
  3. Assisting the Director of Marketing with auditing Sunburst’s website for relevance and competitiveness.
  4. Recommending design and creative aspects of campaigns and promotions and working with outside parties in executing against design, innovative, and promotional activities.

FIELD OPERATIONS SUPPORT 45%

A. Providing administrative and sales support to the Field Operations teams.

B. Updating Acumatica and regional dashboards and processing report requests.

C. Assists in processing dish machine quotes, leases, purchases, and orders as required.

D. Engaging with external customers to provide pricing, answer questions, research, and problem-solve any issues to maintain customer satisfaction.

E. Coordinating team meetings, schedules, and travel arrangements.

F. Supporting and reporting on sales activity for RSS, DSS, and RST team members.

G. Operating as the HQ point of contact for any new hires within regional teams.

H. Providing backup support for fellow Customer Experience Specialist Specialists (field operations) and marketing team members.

 EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 + years in marketing or marketing support function.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Survey Monkey (or comparable survey tools), CRM, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat
