Regional Sales Manager – Territory Sales for Thriving Manufacturer

This North Carolina or Virginia based sales position will travel throughout the NC, VA region providing sales leadership to distributors and selling direct to targeted customers in the market.  Responsibilities include:

Strategic Planning

  • Develop strategic sales plans for distributor and direct sales designed to successfully achieve individual and corporate sales objectives and key initiatives
  • Conduct quarterly business plan review meetings with wholesale channel distributors and mutually define strategies to meet sales objectives
  • Develop and maintain sales forecasts, reports and sales pipeline

 Distributor and Direct Sales

  • Close laundry and ware wash accounts with existing distribution
  • Prospect laundry and ware wash accounts, pairing with the right distribution
  • Prospect new distribution to compliment current distribution by focusing on under-served channels or geographies
  • Conduct regular distributor sales meetings and identify and develop brand champions within distributors
  • Meet sales quotas by actively prospecting and closing new business with a focus on Regional and National multi-unit accounts and key distributor partnerships
  • Promote and present marketing programs and direct and monitor new account trials
  • Work with field service team members to ensure account standards are maintained and customer expectations are met
  • Conduct training programs for customers
  • Provide technical problem-solving and technical support at customer sites, and in developing customer product solutions

Highly qualified applicants will have 5+ years’ sales experience selling laundry and/or food service chemicals.  We seek a consultative sales professional with experience developing distributors and a mechanical aptitude to diagnose issues and offer solutions.  Bachelor Degree preferred, but not required.  Successful sales team members demonstrate strong leadership aptitude, a proven record achieving goals and interest in a team-focused sales environment.  A background managing or selling into the hospitality, health care, janitorial, institutional cleaning or institutional laundry industries, helpful.  We seek candidates interested in continuing a career of success in sales growth and management.  25 to 50% overnight travel, required.

Customer Support Specialist

We seek an experienced customer service person to join our customer support team.  This important position partners with other customer support team members in order entry, account management and customer support.  Specific duties include:

Order Processing

  •  Enter and monitor orders, ensuring correct pricing, promotions and order guidelines
  •  Handle and resolve issues that arise with customer orders
  • Authorize and issue return paperwork

 Account Management

  • Handle phone and email inquiries regarding billing, pricing, credits, returns and other related questions
  • Provide excellent customer service, handling and resolving issues in a timely and accurate manner
  • Identify opportunities to enhance service levels

Accounts Receivable and Operational Support                                                                                                                  

  • Collaborate with and support internal partners including Sales Assistants, Field Sales, Supply Chain, and Accounting
  • Provide backup for Customer Support team
  • Consult A/R department regarding account status
  • Respond to A/R requests for invoice copies and open invoice inquiries
  • Complete special projects, as assigned

Qualified candidates will have 2 – 7+ years office experience in a role interacting with customers over the phone and enjoy work requiring accuracy and detail orientation.  Candidates interested in growing their career in a team environment and supporting great clients are encouraged to apply!  Intermediate MS Office skill (Word, Excel) required and exposure to business systems such as CRM, MRP or ERP, desired.

Route Service Technician – North Carolina

Customer applications include institutional laundry, food service, housekeeping/janitorial and various industrial applications. Are you mechanically inclined and interested in a career opportunity with a growing company? This North Carolina based Route Service Technician at Sunburst Chemicals installs equipment, sells detergents and supplies, and provides troubleshooting and repair to a broad client base.  Expected overnight travel for this position is up to 30%.  Sunburst Chemicals provides a company car, gas card and logo uniform. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Service and sell products and systems to customers on your route
  • Provide counsel to customers regarding products, equipment and systems
  • Complete required computer-based reporting
  • Perform regularly scheduled maintenance for Sunburst dispensers and related equipment
  • Provide emergency service when required (this includes after hours and weekends)
  • Troubleshoot problems not related to Sunburst equipment and make resolution recommendations
  • Prepare for and install new dispenser systems and product upgrades
  • Assist in building prototypes and special request dispensers
  • Answer technical support calls regarding products, dispensers, installations and applications
  • Provide feedback on new product field tests
  • Assist with field communications, technical bulletins and other pertinent technical information

Qualified applicants have 1 to 7+ years’ experience in equipment repair or installation, preferably in a field service or route service role.  Laundry, Restaurant, Food Service or service industry experience, preferred.  A valid driver’s license free of major/multiple infractions, required.   We seek candidates who are self-motivated and have excellent technical, time management, communication and organizational skills. Sunburst Chemicals conducts background checks at the time of hire and employees are required to pass Federal background checks to complete service in Federal prisons.
